... Earth Day! Yay!
I don't have any activities planned (it kind of snuck up on me this year), but I think that it would be a good day to make some eco-friendly resolutions or lifestyle changes; such as- start recycling at home if you don't already. If you do, and you have the outdoor space, maybe start a compost pile! Plant something, or tend something that's already growing.
The Earth Day Network has interesting info on Earth day, and a page to search for local activities. I hope you all get outside for a little while tomorrow and just enjoy the Earth! :)

Updates!
Well, finals are over! Today is my first real "vacation day" without work or any obligations... and it feels nice! Of course, my house is a bloody mess, [because a procrastinator loves to do anything but study, which includes even housework. I actually had to stop myself from cleaning.], there is a mound of paperwork I need to sort and deal with, and a hefty to do list ... but at least I won't feel guilty that I'm not reading about herbs!
I do plan to do some blogging! I actually made a list of veggies I want to profile for the rest of the year, and have tried to assign them a month based on their seasonal availability:
- April - Asparagus (this post will be here by the end of the week, with pics!!)
- May - Leeks (a nod to the Renaissance Faire)
- June - Eggplant
- July - Zucchini
- August - Tomatoes
- September - Broccoli
- October - Pumpkins (for something other than pie, I promise!)
- November - Winter Squash
- December - Rutabega
The next few months are going to be busy! Sam and I are going to Hawaii in July for his brothers wedding; Sean, Sara, and I are planning something big in late August (details to come); I'm writing a murder mystery for my sister Cinder, who just turned 16 last Wednesday; and I have a ton of books to read, people to visit with, and of course, school! Stay tuned ... I'll keep you updated and put lots of pictures of whatever I get myself into. :)

Feeling Connected
Today: Birkat Hachama, an interesting observance Sam turned me onto. I like this- I like the feeling of having a connection to the natural world.
